It took Kishin Shinoyama two years to complete the book, dedicated to Bandō Tamasaburō V, celebrated Kabuki actor specialised in female roles (‘onnagata’). Published at the climax of the photographer’s career, this publication features sumptuous and detailed portraits of the actor, but also wide-angled performance shots, as well as make-up sessions. A beautiful and high-quality publication.
