Mostly Video
Mostly Videos is the comprehensive exhibition catalogue published on the occasion of Nam June Paik’s show of the same name, held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum in 1984. Pioneer of video art, Paik’s video installations were featured in the show, including “V-yramid” and “TV Garden”, but also his etchings series “V-IDEA”. Mostly Videos also coincided with a joint concert in Tokyo with Joseph Beuys –both leading figures of the Fluxus movement with George Maciunas– where they both performed Coyote III, during which Beuys sang his guttural coyote sounds while Paik played the piano. Includes texts, selected bibliography and exhibition checklist.
